Sayda Ramirez, DMSc, MPAS, MEd, PA-C
Sayda Ramirez, DMSc, MPAS, MEd, PA-C:Sayda brings over 30 years of experience in healthcare, education, and military service. A Physician Associate with more than a decade of service at the VA Hospital as a Surgical PA, Sayda has dedicated her career to caring for military service members, veterans, and civilians. She is an active member of the Nevada National Guard with over 34 years of Army service and extensive experience in primary care, orthopedics, and urgent care. In addition to her clinical work, Sayda has over 25 years of teaching experience and holds a Master of Education in Science Education, reflecting her passion for mentorship, learning, and lifelong growth.
Jose Ramirez, MSW
Jose Ramirez, MSW: Jose is a retired U.S. Army infantry veteran with over 20 years of service and a dedicated therapist specializing in counseling and social services. He earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Human Services from the University of Arizona and a Master of Social Work with an emphasis in counseling from Arizona State University. Jose has worked extensively with veterans and underserved populations through organizations such as the Phoenix Vet Center and the Salvation Army, providing counseling, transition support, and mental health services rooted in empathy and lived experience.

Maeve McCafrey, LMSW
Maeve McCafrey, LMSW: Maeve is a licensed therapist and a lifetime horse lover. While studying Social Work at the University of Wyoming she was a member of the Equestrian Team and interned on a ranch gaining experience in horse breeding and colt starting. Maeve moved to Phoenix, Arizona where she attended Arizona State University and earned her Masters in Social Work. She is currently working on completing her PATH certification in Equine Assisted Learning and Mental Health Specialist. While completing this certification, Maeve provides private riding lessons as an insured riding instructor in both English and Western.

Kelsey Bauman, CRTS
Kelsey Bauman, CRTS: Kelsey holds degrees in Criminal Justice with a minor in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and Recreational Therapy
from Arizona State University, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude. A Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist for three years, she brings 15 years of childcare experience as a nanny and a background in Applied Behavior Analysis. With certifications in archery and paddlesports, and a strong focus on equine-assisted and nature-based programming, Kelsey creates inclusive, personalized experiences. She is actively pursuing PATH certification and finds the most joy in watching clients grow through hands-on outdoor opportunities.
Shirley Waltenburg, ESMHL
· Shirley Waltenburg, ESMHL: Shirley Waltenburg was born and raised in the Midwest but has called Arizona home since 1985. Recently retired after 23 years at the Charles Schwab Data Center, she received her PATH International certification as an Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning in 2025 to better assist with therapy programs at the ranch. Her horse, Sweet Tea, is a ranch favorite who loves showing off for our guests.

Giai Tat
Giai Tat brings a wealth of experience and creativity to the Wildcat Ranch Phoenix board. With over 27 years as a small business owner in the beauty industry, she combines her entrepreneurial skills with her passion for the arts. As a talented local artist, Giai has had her work featured at The Herd Museum and has painted vibrant murals throughout Phoenix, including a beautiful cactus mural on the Wildcat Ranch wall. Beyond her artistic contributions, she has volunteered with multiple organizations across the valley, demonstrating her deep commitment to community service. Giai’s dedication to both art and service makes her a valuable asset to the Wildcat Ranch team, where she contributes her expertise and vision to support the ranch's mission and growth.
